Thoughts

from my mind to yours

Unused freedom isn’t freedom; it’s dormant potential. Activate your potential by being proactive with your freedom.

Whatever you feel is holding you back, it’s not holding you back as much as you are.

Motivation isn’t, unless you do something with it.

The whole world is your oyster, so don’t just play in the corner.

Life’s too short to get caught in a loop, so do what makes you happy. If you don’t know what makes you happy then take risks; you have nothing to lose.

There are a lot of people in the world, but only a tiny fraction of those have ever touched your life. Notice them.

Pretending everything is okay when it’s really not is always more painful in the end.

We’re all seeking something, but what we’re seeking isn’t nearly as important as how we seek it.

Truth can hurt, but there’s also nothing more healing.

You never know when — or if — you’ll get another chance, so if it feels right, do it.

When the end of your world arrives, what you did won’t matter as much as how your choices affected those you’re leaving behind.

It’s never too late to change who you are because who you are is always changing.

Right now it doesn’t matter what you’ve done or what you’re going to do. Right now all that really matters is what you do.

Getting rid of the non-essential illuminates the beauty of what you have.

Every once in a while someone comes along to remind us why change is essential. Who they are or what they become isn’t nearly as important as what you do with that reminder.

Life works in endlessly mysterious ways; the only way to make any sense of it is to embrace it. Embrace life, because the alternative is just a slow suicide.

After being asked what message or lesson he would like to give the world, this was posted online by a man with terminal brain cancer, 51 hours before he died: “Nothing we have is worth hurting anyone else for. It’s all fleeting people. Stop seeing race, color, sex, religion, etc…. They’re all just people, and if you try to love them you won’t lose anything.”

We live in paradise; it’s also called Earth.

A ‘savings’ can represent more than money: education, experiences, friendships, community, reputation, outlook; all are important when you need something to fall back on. How big is your savings?

The more frequently we move (in all realms), the more likely we are to recognize and remove excess baggage.

The beauty of life isn’t found in its brevity, but in those ethereal moments that feel eternal.

If you don’t change anything, nothing will change.

We cannot give peace, love, or happiness to others if we’re not first at peace, full of love, or happy with ourselves.

The next time you see a rock, or a tree, or a large body of water, hold it in reverence; it will likely outlive you.

When it comes to reputation, what has been said and what has been done are all that’s taken into consideration. In any given moment, you’re either doing something positive or something negative towards your reputation; there is no neutral. A neutral reputation is a non-existent reputation.

You can never go wrong when it feels right.

The present cannot be fully understood until it has entered the past and received an opportunity for reflection.

Time always guides us forward when we’re willing to walk with it.

We are atoms crisscrossing the cosmos, combining to paint a collage of colorful collisions and colliding to encapsulate life-changing connections.

Inhale solitude, exhale gratitude.
