  1. Can’t believe I watched the whole video, well most parts of it. Definately an eye opener. I’ll probably be a little more careful where I buy our meat in the future and I’ll at least cut back on my intake. Like buy from my cousin rather than a big chain for beef. I know how my cousin treats his cows.

thanks… btw – I ate saugage for lunch today, don’t feel so well now. Wonder what OG would say after watching this video?

  2. mmmmm.

This is the same video that made me revert to vegetarianism back in ’03, it hit me like a rock, so hard even became a strict vegan for a year and a half.

  3. I said I would think twice when I ate meat – next day I had a Cheeseburger at the Indy Gun and Knife Show. Well it was either that or go hungry – their salads were tiny and 4.00. I would have had to eat 5 of them to fill me up.

Then that night I had a Grilled Chicken Salad. I closed my eyes when I ate the chicken

Today at work; we’re cooking hot dogs for our customers.

  4. It’s not easy being a Vegetarian in this world, especially when you work with, live with, and otherwise associate with on a daily basis those who are not. 🙂

But, saying no is half the battle. I’ve gone hungry for an entire day, simply because there was nothing better around to eat. Usually I try to always have stuff with me to eat — a granola bar, or whatever.

  5. So I guess, if you go to Vietnam with me, you are not gonna try some Cho (dog)? 🙁 Fried Crickets? BLAHHHHH not me either….

We’ll eat a lot of tofu or something 🙂

I need to take my NO’s one at a time. Right now, I’m saying NO to eating snacks. Let me get past that first, then I’ll think about the meat or at least cut back.

  6. i know im late, but dude, u just changed my life with this video. no creature on earth deserves the torture and death that these animals go through. I will try to take meat out of my life slowly.

  7. Hey Jan,

I’m glad to hear you’ve been inspired (or grossed out) to switch to a vegetarian or vegan diet, even if it does take you some time to adjust.

With the abundant supply of vegetables, fruits, grains, and nuts available in the local supermarket, there is no reason to eat meat or dairy. In survival situations, yeah maybe, but not when we have a choice!

  8. @Ramm — you’re right about survival situations. Most of us aren’t in those and, as you point out, the corner shop is filled with everything you need for a healthy vegan diet. I’ve got no problems with a bit of “animal rights pr0n” (sitting around watching videos of animals being experimented on, tortured and killed), but I think vegetarianism and veganism is always at it’s best when emphasisng a culture of life and not a cult of death.

    • Good point about not using the death of animals as a reason to go vegan, Max. I personally use the huge health benefits, both to myself and to the world, as my reason to stay vegan.

Thanks for the links! My only problem with looking at or reading about great vegan food is that I end up craving it so much! 😀
