A post on Slashdot yesterday mentioned that there is lots of pure water ice at North pole of Mars (enough to fill all three of the Great Lakes of North America). Apparently the water on Mars is 95% pure, which in comparison to the purity of our own oceans (97%) is pretty damn good. It looks like my life-long dream of walking on Mars is one step closer to being a reality!

Yeah, basically! I can’t wait until they start building colonies on Mars. So many science fiction stories/movies are becoming science fact. 😀
