A Lonely Cloud

I spent all day, a sunny day no doubt, staring at a beautiful blue sky through the office windows in Boston, feeling trapped by duty, responsibility, and an urge to plan for the future.

While simultaneously working on a programming project, I looked up and a single lonely cloud stared back, as if to say "I know, I feel ya!"

  1. I also know how ya feel. I wish I had a lonely cloud to look at, usually all I get is a van or a car parked outside the window to stare at. 🙁

But did get some good news yesterday 🙂 – I’ll stick it up on my blog later this afternoon – evening.

  2. My other office, the one in Lowell, doesn’t even have any windows! A nice sunny day, might as well be a dark snowy day. You’d think that having no windows would help me forget about what I’m missing, but it just makes it worse.

  3. was looking out the window at work .. a car pulled back and hit another car .. i took down the license plate .. don’t know if i should tell the driving school people their car was hit ..

sarah’s water broke .. we’re off to the hospital now ..

  4. speaking of cars getting hit…

When my desk was in the showroom at the dealership, I saw a lady backup the car and gun it, the rear end of her car (they just purchased) totaled a small station-wagon that another customer just spent $800 in repairs. The one lady claimed the car had no breaks… she was found at fault, while the totaled car owners bought a new car that day 🙂

We’ve also had (before I worked here), someone crash thru the showroom windows and die. He had a heart-attack as he was leaving. I’m glad I didn’t work here then, he crashed where my desk was going to be.

  5. just got back from the hospital AGAIN …. FALSE ALARM AGAIN …. this is like the 3rd time. lol and sigh.

anyway …. since we’re kinda on a car topic now, i was looking through your photo gallery. i forgot you owned a jeep cherokee. how do you like it? i’m planning on trading my A4 in for one since the baby’s coming .. need more space. is it a good/reliable car?

  6. oh and about the window dilemna in your office .. i’ve got the perfect gift idea .. i’ll bring it by sometime next week .. early christmas present

  7. Jeep Cherokee’s are reliable. They are very comfortable and fun to drive too! Very good family/trip car, and not bad in the snow either.

  8. Back in the early 90’s, about 2am, a car hit the front of our house. I thought Dad fell out of bed, and he thought I did. Mom was the one that discovered a car sitting in our front yard, perched on some rocks in front of our huge window. The noob flattened an unused gas powered light, hit some large rocks, shattered part of a sandstone wall against the house with bushes and flowers in it, hit the sandstone surrounding the window and pushed the window in about 4 inches. Luckly he didn’t break the window. The guy left the scene on foot and sent his pregant wife over to say she did it to the police.

About 4 weeks later, the guy went to the doctors to complain about his sore arm. Turned out it was broken in 2 places. He went to prison for awhile.

Hopefully that won’t occur ever again…. I put pics up of our lot btw.
