For the past few days I've noticed a crackling sound in my left ear. It isn't constant. It comes and goes. I tried Googling about it while I was at a client's site today waiting for Service Pack 2 to finish installing. I searched for "crackling sound in my ear" and the results turned up references to different semi-serious disorders. Hmm, I was starting to worry. My ear has slowly started to ache more and more all day.
Tonight I decided to Google it again, but this time, entirely by accident, I left out one word, "my". This time the results looked better and the very first link told me everything I needed. It also explained the extreme pain I have experienced in the past while flying. Sometimes when I fall asleep on the plane, I wake up with the worst head ache in the world. It felt like a big needle going right through the middle of my head.
Ah, killed two questions with one Google query! : )
