You would think having 4" - 15" of solid ice in the roads would be nothing but a nuisance for everyone. However, I have discovered an upside -- parking. Parking you say? It doesn't help parking! 90% of the cars parking in Cambridge seem to be compact cars with less than 12" of clearance, which means even if they were willing to risk getting stuck they couldn't park in many of the spots. Oh, but it does help trucks!
Prior to the snow storm a few days ago, I would never find a parking spot when I came home around 11:30pm. Now that there are plenty of spots where compact cars can't even park, I just turn on my 4WD and slip and slide my way into a spot. 😀
Went to Lions Club last night and found 3 close parking places at the restaurant. But I was unable to fit my focus in any of them thanks to piles of snow. Truck ppl, I say “piss” on their tires….
All the snow is melting here, it was in the 40’s yesterday and is suppose to rain today. Little cars will take over again 🙂
The ice is starting to melt here too — very slowly. Today was the first day of 40 degree weather for us. Last night was 16 degrees; this morning was 41 degrees.
When little cars take over, I will jump in my Audi A4 and blend right in. 😀 That is, after I take it to the shop and fix the electrical problems. 🙁
I thought you had an Audi. Um… electrical problems? Hopefully the problem wasn’t caused by pee…..
