Genuine Junk

It's rather easy to overcome the urge to keep junk. However it's very difficult to determine what things you genuinely have a need for, before actually accumulating them.

  1. I take it someone had a dilemma between sentimentality and neccesity today. My room is a landfill. It’s strange how I try to keep the Marine mentality of cleaning up my area everywhere… BUT my room. =)

I know it’ll get emptied sooner or later before I go.

  2. Speaking of junk .. I’ve picked up 3 monitors these past couple of months on trash day .. I’m currently using a 21″ Sony Trinitron monitor that has 2 inputs, that I picked up .. have no idea why the owner threw it out. It looks and works like new.

There should be more people that just like to throw away good sh*tuff. Anyone out there got good sh*tuff they wanna get rid of? I’ll clean it out for you, no charge 🙂

  3. It’s amazing what some people will throw away just because they hate how much space it takes up. A few rules I like to follow:

Rule #1: Don’t collect that which you will later not want.
Rule #2: If it works, eBay it and follow Rule #1.
Rule #3: If it’s broke, fix it and see Rule #2.
    Rule #4: See Rule #1.

  4. Raam’s post – soooooooooooooooo true

Raam’s comment – true again….. but do it quickly otherwise you’ll take it with you when you move. The plan was to sell it all before we sold our house, but as you can tell…. it’s in storage till we find a house.

  5. ah, very true. these things are pretty giganto .. lol. and yah, why not sell or recycle instead of just throwing away .. man …..
