  1. Elaborate? That’s what your brain is for!

Music, art, poetry, cinema, and novels all have great works associated with them not because the people who created the great works were super-human, but because they found a way to relate to something common amongst all of us. The unique, individual way each person interprets something, whether it be a book or a song, is what keeps the world an interesting place. And with a seemingly infinite number of possible uniquely individual point of views, the world is quite an interesting place indeed. If all works of art, all the books, and all the songs had the same exact meaning to everyone, how boring they would all be!

If you watch a movie, read a book, or listen to a song for what it is and not for what you expect it to be, then you’ll rarely watch a “bad” movie, or read a “bad” book. Good and Bad are personal choices or decisions. We “decide” something is good or bad; its not a matter of fact. (Obviously the latter does not apply to everything in the world.)

However, if you must know, the quote arose from a conversation about the aftertaste of my protein shakes. 🙂
