  1. Truer words have never been spoken my dear friend. Let your life’s experience of mistakes, regrets, knowledge, and wisdom guide you in the right direction in life.

Those scars are temporary marks in your life that will help you learn and develop as a person. Do not embrace them and do not avoid them. Instead acknowledge that they are there. You will hold a burden if you were to embrace a mark of despair. You will find yourself in a deep hole of suppression if you were to avoid them. But if you were to acknowledge it, you will find yourself growing mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and intelligently.

Learn from these scars, it will help make you a better person.

  2. People that have physical scars of some sort should only mention them when the scars are cause by a heroic act of some sort. Not stupid little physical scars that you create by yourself. 🙂

  3. I thought you were on track at first, but you seem to have missed the point of the quote. I never said anything about “mentioning your scars”, but you’re entitled (Sir!, weak link removed, Sir!) to your own opinion.

  4. For missing the point of the quote. You’re UNtitled to your own opinion. You are the weakest link. Goodbye! =P

I wonder if it is sometimes good to be scarred. Like how bootcamp can mentally scar in discipline and core values like honor, courage, and commitment. I guess it is alright to have a scar to remind you that you’ve been to the edge at one point in life. I already know I’m going to be scarred mentally. So, I’m looking to acheive some red badges of courage with where I’m going. Hopefully they’ll fit nicely somewhere. I’m not looking for something like a lost foot, but I’m sure there are no promises on that. =)

I always wondered if you write single-sentence posts. And praise! It is answered!

  5. I was riding my bicycle loooooong ago and my foot fell off and the metal came back around and scarred me on the back of the leg.

  6. Wow, I was riding my mountain bike today, hit a small rock that caused my bike to come to a sudden stop, my foot slipped off the petal (backwards) and then my shin dug into the metal teeth on the petal. It started bleeding like crazy and it was cut in two spots. I was pretty far from my truck, so I had no choice but to ignore the blood and pain and just keep biking. That’s when this quote came into my head. (although the quote is directed not only towards physical scars, but other kinds as well)

Ironic how the same thing happen to you, and you just happen to mention it in a comment on a post that I created because the same thing happen to me! (ugh, that was confusing)

  7. Eerie. LoL.

I will remember this day not because of its satanic relevance, but because I was cut from work today. Sad, yet interesting, it had to be on this hyped day. But, I guess I wasn’t expecting miracles to happen or the gas price to go down this day either.

I was going to see The Omen today to cheer me up(LOL), but I had just as much fun reading its reviews. “…supremely unnecessary…”, “…completely unnecessary, even if it is kind of fun.”, “Who knew the Apocalypse could be so dull?”.

  8. I was around 7 – 10 when my bike accident happened. I don’t remember what caused it, prolly a rock? or just another day in the life of djt……….

btw – house plan over at me blog.
