Go with what feels right

There are times in life when we need to go with what feels right. Ignore all the critics, the naysayers, and those who will judge us by their own definition of truth. Create your own path, forge your own destiny, and make all the mistakes and dead-end turns necessary to arrive alive. Sometimes what we need cannot be put into the context of right or wrong but must be defined and acted upon by the compass of our soul.

  1. Yes, so truth….. I am writing this comment from my heart after three life changing decisions I had made throughout the past six months.

“The choice I have to make might look unreasonable to others, but is the most comfortable choice for me.” Also, I told the naysayers that “the current decision might not be the best one in the future or the past, but the present.”

    • June, you make such an important point about choices looking unreasonable to others: The choies we need to make in our lives may very well not make sense to anyone but ourselves, but it’s important to remember that nobody but ourselves can see our life — and therefore the choice we feel we need to make — from our perspective; they see it through their own perspective.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 🙂

  2. I *love* this Raam!

To create one’s own path is the ‘healers (or hero’s) journey,’ and I believe it is one we are all called to embark upon, if only we heed the calling and face the journey and the trials~

How beautiful to call it the ‘compass of the soul,’ I’ve felt it as one’s ‘intuitive GPS’ or internal guidance-to-purpose system.

I look forward to hearing more from you.

  3. I totally agree with your explanation here of ‘Trusting” our individual paths through life…As for myself, I have ventured a few quite irrational journeys, that many here that respond to your statements, may have never trodded. But I must say, these ventures allowed my to see “my true nature.” I came out of these situations “Alive.” Many of my collegues back then did not…I also learned there has to be some boundaries in our lives, otherwise if there isn’t, one can go to a deep end…So, one needs to be rational as well…So, clarity is very important with one’s intuition…

    Blessings & Peace,

    David
