I have a vision for a world where everyone is healthy and educated. A curious world of independent, open-minded, knowledge-seeking individuals who always strive to improve the world around them. A world where no one is bored, stressed, or unhappy. A world where people are compassionate to all life and sensitive to Mother Nature.
A sustainable world where people embrace simplicity and recognize that physical things can only bring temporary happiness and unnecessary waste. A world where people explore the inner wonders of their own being and see it as the real final frontier.
A world where entertainment and joy come from spending time with loved ones; where improving ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually is a never-ending, lifelong endeavor; and where everyone realizes that happiness comes from within and not from an external source.
A world where the act of creating and sharing are not only a source enjoyment, but of inspiration and growth. A world where knowledge is as free as the air we breathe and where greed and jealousy have no home.
A world that respects and takes care of its elders. A world that teaches and nurtures its children. A world that comes together to take care of the weak and poor and provides assistance to those in need without regard to borders, treaties, race, class, religion, or financial standing. An unselfish world that gives and helps for the sole purpose of improving humanity, with no expectation of compensation, reward, or recognition.
This vision may seem Utopian and fictional, but I know that such a world is possible. I know that deep in all of our hearts, this is the type of world we want to be apart of. One day, it will be this way. I have no idea how long it will take, but I don’t know of any other way to live than with this vision in mind.
I welcome you to join me in my lifelong mission to spread awareness around the benefits of living a simple and balanced life of compassion and sustainability, while simultaneously embracing creativity and experiencing the abundance and wonder that this beautiful world has to offer.
As long as you’re living, learn. As long as you’re learning, share. As long as you’re sharing, care. As long as you care, love.

Brilliant posts Raam. I’m in!
To change the world we must first change ourselves. Become the change we want to see.
Thank you, Danny!
There is no better way to make a difference than to be the difference! My philosophy in life is to lead by example and not to worry about influencing or changing the world. Each and every one of us has the potential to change the world, but we’ll only get there if we focus on changing ourselves first!
Yes Raam – your world is very possible. In fact it’s the only possible world, I think. Because without a massive refocus, realignment of focus, and restructure of economic and a reassessment of environmental impacts, we’re… you know what. I won’t say it on your blog!
Hey Ali,
I think you’re right. Without some positive change, the current trend is just not sustainable! All the more reason to work hard at changing it.
Hey Raam,
Count me in.
Only one question: how do we do this?
(Hint: tell us in an e-book
)
Thank you, Brett! It’s great to have you on-board.
An ebook is coming, but for now you can just continue being awesome!
This reads like a really awesome forward to a book. Just a thought. Love the thought, I’m with you, and for every person that grows into this mindset and reads this and does this and tells one other person, we’re one step closer.
Thanks Ross! I hadn’t thought of using it as a foreword, but you’re right, it does sound like one!
I’m glad to have you on-board.
I’m completely with you on this vision Raam! As you said in the comments, the best way is to lead by example as adhering to the above vision is much easier to do when you see the positive effects it has on other people’s lives. Words are strong, but in this case, only real life examples will convince others of the need to achieve such a reality.
Thanks for sharing your vision with us and hopefully this blog will act as a catalyst itself in bringing about some more positive change!
Thank you, Earl!
As you said words are strong, but they can only convey an idea or story. Individual action is required for real change and I hope to encourage just that through this blog!
