I don't know if its a problem with my diet, not getting enough sleep, too much caffeine, not enough carbohydrates, or a combination of all of the above! Every day I seem to be tired, especially around 8pm or 9pm. But, I can't seem to get myself to sleep that early.
Since I moved to the new apartment, I haven't gotten back into my regular workout program. However, I have been doing lots of chinups and leg raises on the pullup bar with ab loops in my kitchen doorway. I also took my DoorGym out of storage in Lowell and installed it in my bathroom doorway. I have the extension for it that allows for wide grip pullups and it works the shoulders and upper back like nothing else.
I was looking for breakfast ideas earlier today -- something different than my oatmeal with toast -- and came across this post on VeganFitness.net. The recipes blew my mind! My breakfast has never felt so dull! I went food shopping today and thought I bought everything I needed to make scrambled tofu, but I forgot the onions. 🙁
Talk about dull – I eat Pop-Tarts everyday at 8:30 while at work.
MMmm Pop-Tarts. Compared to my normal breakfast, pop-tarts sound very exciting. 🙂 Too much sugar though!
Trying the NEW Mint Chocolate chip ones today. Not by choice, that’s what the wife purchased for me. Think I might go back to the ol’ standard strawberry without frosting for awhile.
And trying to maintain the daily walks or some form of exercise, but since it never was a practice for me; I often find myself skipping it or just not having time.
Daily walks… I’ve started doing that. Over the past few days I’ve walked a lot more than usual. Speaking of which, I think I’ll go take a 20 min walk right now! Ain’t nobody going to tell me what I can and cannot do with my health!
We did a review of the Door Gym on our site. I linked to your setup of the Door Gym ab loops. For another great abdominal workout, I suggest getting a Valeo medicine ball (I suggest an 8lb ball…look on Amazon.com). It comes with a workout routine that will tone those abs.
Cool, thanks for the heads up Ryan! I’ll definitely check out the Valeo medicine ball!
